GOALS: For Brave Girls to embrace their uniqueness. They are special, loved, and cherished. They need to be able to see themselves with clarity about how God uniquely designed and created them. They may be experiencing insecurity, questioning their identities, have low self-esteem, or don’t value themselves. There is a glory story to their lives, and the enemy knows it; he has set out to destroy it from the moment they were born. He attacks by stealing their identities, causing them to hide behind shame and guilt. God’s desire is for all of us to come out of hiding; remove the labels and shades causing us to hide.

Everything God does is purposeful. He has plans for every life. He formed and fashioned all of the Brave Girls and their babies with purpose. They have a divine destiny only they can fulfill. Psalm 139 tells them how He intricately formed and knitted them together in their mother’s wombs. He knows everything about them and is for them!
• At this time, we recommend that you close the group to any new members. If any new Brave Girls reach out, invite them to your group's next semester or get her connected with another group in the area.
• Keep an eye out for any Brave Girls in your group that isn't connecting or opening up. She might have a hard time being vulnerable in groups. Consider offering to meet with her outside of class for dinner or coffee. Sometimes meeting one-on-one will help her feel more comfortable sharing!
Supplies: Note Cards, Highlighters
Neon Sign Demonstration: What titles have you or others placed on yourself? Write them out. Replace the lies with the truth about who God says you are!
You can print out Psalm 139 to see and read. You can read it to them, and then have them read through it again to highlight any descriptive words that give them hope about how God created them and sees them. After they’ve done this, all the Brave Girls can discuss what they highlighted and why and you can give them some index cards to write down the identity words she highlighted signifying her claim to her born identity!

Identity is the root of so many issues in our lives. It’s not what we do or who others say we are- it's who God says we are! Identities are connected to relationships. The key is connecting our identity to our relationship with Jesus.
