PRINCESS DAY

TIPS

WEEK ONE:

INTRODUCTION

GOAL: For Brave Girls and leaders to make connections and get to know each other. This is an opportunity for you to share what you have walked through and speak from experience how God redeemed and restored your life. Your story will encourage and inspire everyone in your group as they hear the struggles and circumstances you have faced and overcome.

• If you’d like to delegate the planning of this event you can try to find an event manager that will oversee all the details for the shower so that it takes that off of the leaders that are leading weekly in the group.

• It is fun to keep it a surprise and call it the “Special Day.” You do not want to give them any details except to arrive without their hair and makeup done.

• You can make it special by decorating with a Princess theme and creating a beautiful table setting. Have someone cook a nice meal or reach out to local restaurants and ask if they would donate the meal.

• The Brave Girls get pampered and loved on, by getting their hair and makeup done, having a massage (optional), getting their picture taken, ministry time, and then ending with a nice dinner. Find women in the community that will donate their time to come and do hair and makeup by reaching out to salons or hair schools or women that are just good at doing hair/makeup.

• Have a volunteer or leader be the timekeeper so that the event runs smoothly and you are able to fit in all of the special aspects of the event.

We have gathered Princess Day images from groups across the nation to inspire you and give you theme ideas! Feel free to make it as simple or extravagant as you want!

The purpose of Princess Day (Special Day) is to show the Brave Girls how beautiful they are inside and out, to show them how God sees them as His princesses, and to help them see themselves through His eyes. We are all heirs to the King of kings, which makes us, as his daughters, princesses. With Jesus in their hearts, the Brave Girls are adopted into the family of God (Galatians 3:26, Galatians 4:6,7)! This day is all about them. done and wear comfy clothes and bring a nice dress to change into. You may also make invitations and address them to “Princess [Brave Girl's name here].”
