TIPS
WEEK ONE:
INTRODUCTION
GOAL: For Brave Girls and leaders to make connections and get to know each other. This is an opportunity for you to share what you have walked through and speak from experience how God redeemed and restored your life. Your story will encourage and inspire everyone in your group as they hear the struggles and circumstances you have faced and overcome.
• Pick a fun theme and decorate for a party.
• Ask guests attending to bring a gift for the Brave Girls(s) you are honoring. Ask the Brave Girl(s) about their passions and interest in gift ideas ahead of time. Gift examples: gift cards, jewelry, clothes, makeup/lotions, things that go along with her passion such as photography, etc...
• Invite anyone they would like you to, as well as some people they may have never met who would like to love on them and support them for the decision they have made. Most of the people who come have a big heart for adoption. There have been adoptive parents who have come because they think it is so neat what we do for the Brave Girls with this shower.

Out of all the Embrace Grace Brave Girls, only a very small percentage choose adoption. With each story you may encounter, you will be captivated by every step of the process. Each story is so different—some choose closed adoptions and some choose open adoptions or different variations. We love hearing how the birth mom met the adoptive mom. It is like God pairs up the perfect birth mom with the perfect family. How brave and courageous of a birth mom to choose life for her baby and bless a family who has prayed for their entire lives for a child. It is so beautiful! A birth mom sacrifices her body for nine months, just to save her baby’s life and give him/ her a beautiful destiny, full of hope and love. Since the Brave Girls choosing adoption do not participate in the Baby Shower, you can throw them a Celebration of Life shower, loving and encouraging them in this new season of their lives.
